Diving Adventures - IDC Examination

HOME COURSE DIRECTOR COURSES COURSE MATERIALS IDC EXAMINATION IDC SCHEDULE Once you have successfully completed the Instructor Development Course including the EFR Instructor, you are ready for the Instructor Experience or, as it is formally known, the Instructor Examination. Depending on the total number of candidates, either one or two PADI Examiners from PADI Americas visit Vancouver in May and November each year. The first day of the Instructor Examination is on a Saturday at a location selected by PADI when, after the orientation, the Dive Theory Exams and Standards and Procedures Exam are written in the morning. These are followed in the afternoon by Confined Water Presentations, including dive skill evaluation, and the Knowledge Development Presentations. On the Sunday morning the Open Water Presentations are usually evaluated at Cates Park along with the rescue assessments. Final results and counseling are then delivered at the dive site.
