Advanced Diver Course

Continue your quest for education!!
The Advanced Course is a fabulous opportunity to expand your diving experience in areas of diving such as Navigation, Night diving, Marine Identification, Deep and several other areas...Each one of these dives is completed under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Upon completion of the Advanced, the diver has the chance to learn how to properly plan and enjoy these dives with confidence and safety.
Group Rate per person:   $200 plus G.S.T.
Private Rate one on one: $450 plus G.S.T

Emergency First Response

The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) are a prerequisite course for the Rescue Diver Course. The courses are medically based, following the same priorities of care used by the professional emergency care providers. 
Rate per person: $100 plus GST

Diving Adventures also offers Emergency First Response Care for Children which is a course specifically designed to teach lay people CPR and First Aid for Children.

Emergency First Response Instructor Rating Care for Children Performance Verification

Our Care for Children Instructors are licensed by PADI to verify Instructor applicants practical performance for their instructor rating application.

Rescue Diver

One of our most exciting and interactive courses!
Lots of discussion, and application to the local environment is stressed during skills training.
This course teaches you the knowledge and skills to deal with a wide range of situations that may occur while diving.  In learning the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and manage diving accident situations, render proper first aid, you will also learn important self rescue skills.
Group Rate per person:   $300 plus G.S.T.

Master Scuba Diver

This is the highest recreational diver rating in the PADI program and denotes competence as an advanced and rescue diver with a minimum of 50 logged dives and five specialties. Diving Adventures offers this course to those divers who do not want to continue onto PADI professional divers or who wish to prepare themselves with the specialty training for subsequent certification as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer Instructor.  This is particularly useful for young divers that have to wait until they are 18 years of age to start the Divemaster course.
Cost: $1900 plus G.S.T.

PADI’s materials are available in 23 languages and are in use in more than 175 countries and territories around the world.  PADI’s training programs and educational products, including manuals, instructor guides, videos and CD-ROMs, are recognized in the dive industry as being the most current, educationally valid and effective training products available.  Because of their high degree of educational effectiveness, many PADI courses are recommended for college credit from the American Council on Education (ACE).

PADI Open Water Scuba

Your first step to get your self certified!
The Open Water Diver course is designed to teach students how to dive safely, and competently while enjoying yourself in your new environment.  The water skill sessions teach students how to react to underwater events that may occur.  Upon completing the ocean dives, students feel confident in the skills learned and themselves.  Upon completion of the course, students received their PADI Certification.

Course Description:

Student requirements
10 years old and have the basic ability to swim.

Course Duration:
 4 Class sessions, 4 Pool dives, 4 ocean dives, and final exam. The course is performance based and can be completed in less time depending on class size and student performance.  

Executive Diver Program                  
Diving Adventures specializes in private one on one lessons for the Executive Diver.  The academic portion of the course is through distance learning in your own time.  Pool sessions/session are organized to suit your schedule as well as the open water dives.

We have many different formats for running our beginner course. Please inquire what best fits for you! May it be a course that could be completed in five consecutive days or 1-2 times a week, the options are limitless...We try to accommodate all scheduling needs.
We can also organize for you to take your academic and pool sessions in Canada and your open water dives overseas in say the Caribbean or Thailand or in other warm climates.

Dive Master Program

Your first step in becoming a professional Scuba Diver.
The Dive Master program takes you from a rescue diver to a certified assistant. You will get hands-on experience in helping others to become certified Scuba divers. You will receive training and experience in a wide variety of various diving methods.  Our flexible internship program coupled with our weekly academic sessions enables students to set their own pace for this course.
Cost: $400 plus G.S.T. (materials not included)

Instructor Development Course

The open water instructor development course is available through Diving Adventures. One of our Staff IDC Instructors will teach you the assistant instructor course and then you will be referred to our local Burnaby PADI Course Director to finish your IDC to open water instructor level.
Group Rate for Assistant Instructor - $500 plus G.S.T.
