Commercial Diving Services
For scuba students we sell fun but for our commercial diving services we sell professionalism.
The majority of our commercial divers hold at least Master Degrees in their discipline. All divers have undergone extensive training with local BC Commercial Diving Schools and are Workers Compensation Board Certified to work and dive on scuba to maximum depths of 130 ft below sea level. As per the regulations, Diving Adventures supplies a minimum three-man team to undertake commercial diving work. Whether it be scraping ship’s hulls or undertaking extensive marine biology baseline surveys we apply the same safety procedures and professionalism.

We supply BCD’s, mask, fins and snorkels through Beuchat who’s local distributor is BARE, lights from Underwater Kinetics and Nitrox Analysers from Amoxtec.
We also supply the first and best split fin from Apollo, located in
Seattle. Since we supply direct from the manufacturer, we are able to offer 20% off list price. Day, Weekend and Overseas Trips
With the emphasis on fun we regularly organize day trips to Nanaimo to dive the wrecks of HMCS Saskatchewan and HMCS Cape Breton. Joe and Martyn our two senior instructors were two of the first 100 divers to dive the Cape Breton shortly after it had been sunk.
Other trips from Nanaimo include Dodds Narrows, Clark Rock and Gabriola Pass. Occasionally we will visit China Creek to dive the wreck there. We also regularly visit Porpoise Bay Charters of Sechelt to dive the HMCS Chaudiere, Tzoonie Narrows, Snake Cove, Twanik Point and Skoocumchuck Narrows.
Weekend trips have included multiple trips to Hornby Island Diving where we have never failed to observe six gill sharks, multiple trips to Porpoise Bay Charters and several visits to
Quadra Island to both Abyssal Diving and Dynamike Charters. We have also visited Barkley Sound where in one day we filmed a pair of six gill sharks, a swimming wolf eel, an octopus out of its den and observed a pack of sea lions feed on fish outside the Rendezvous Lodge in the early evening.
Overseas trips have included teaching Canadian and US nationals in Thailand and Cozumel Mexico respectively. |
